The S Series: three implants, one connection
NobelActive® S, NobelParallel™ S and NobelReplace® S implants keep the body shapes of the classic implants, but every size shares one Narrow Platform conical connection.1 They are separate products from the classic versions.

A meta-analysis of 106 prospective studies of implants with the TiUnite® surface reported 10-year survival of 95.1% at implant level and 91.5% at patient level. 3
Peri-implantitis was reported by only 19 of the studies (5.2% of patients in those studies). One author has been involved in research on this surface family for decades; see the paper for conflict-of-interest statements.
In 1,072 patients treated with the All-on-4® treatment concept in the upper jaw at the same clinic, prosthesis success was 99.2% and implant survival 94.7% over up to 13 years. Smoking was associated with implant failure. 4
Single-centre retrospective series; 20.4% of patients were lost to follow-up.
Nobel Biocare states that the S Series needs up to 65% fewer Multi-unit Abutment sizes than its multi-platform implant systems. 5
